0:15 Little by little the year grows old

0:18 The red leaves drop from the maple boughs

0:22 The sun grows dim and the winds blow cold

0:27 Down from the distant Arctic seas

0:31 Out of the skies the soft light dies

0:35 And the shadows of autumn come creeping over

0:39 And the bee and the bird are no longer heard

0:43 In grove or meadow or field of clover

0:48 Little by little our lives grow old

0:52 Our faces no longer are fair to see

0:57 Four gray creeps into the curls of gold

1:01 And the red seeds out of the cheeks are me

1:07 And the birds that sang till our hearts

1:10 strings rang

1:11 With strains of hope and joy and pleasure

1:16 Have flown away and our hearts today

1:21 Hear only the weird winds solemn measure

1:26 Youth and summer and beauty and bloom

1:30 Drup and die in the autumn weather

1:33 But up from the gloom of the winter's tomb

1:37 They shall rise in God's good time together
