0:00 It's a mighty good world, so it is,

0:03 dear Laos, when even the worst is said.

0:08 There's a smile and a tear,

0:10 a sigh and a cheer,

0:11 but better be living than dead.

0:14 A joy and a pain, a loss and a gain,

0:17 there's honey and maybe some gall.

0:20 And still I declare foul weather or fair,

0:24 it's a mighty good world after all.

0:27 For look, Laos, at night,

0:29 when I break from the fight,

0:32 my kingdoms are waiting for me.

0:34 There's comfort and rest and the warmth of

0:37 your breast and little ones climbing my knee.

0:41 There's firelight and song,

0:43 oh the world may be wrong,

0:45 its empires may topple and fall.

0:48 My home is my care, if gladness be there,

0:52 it's a mighty good world after all.

0:55 Oh heart of pure gold,

0:57 I have made you a fold, it's sheltered,

1:01 sun-fundled and warm.

1:03 Oh little ones rest, I have fashioned a nest,

1:07 sleep on, you are safe from the storm.

1:11 For there's no foe like fear and there's no

1:14 friend like cheer,

1:15 and sunshine will

1:17 flash at her call.

1:19 So crown love as king and let us all sing,

1:24 it's a mighty good world after all.
