0:00 He sits upon his watchtower, yonder peak,

0:04 and gazes as the autumn sun goes down.

0:08 And I, too, on my somber hill await,

0:12 the sun to rim the far-off mountain crown.

0:16 His wings are now as flant as if to sail,

0:20 into the light he gazes at so fond.

0:23 And well I know he only holds his flight,

0:27 till the last fire dips the gulf beyond.

0:31 And as he, when his golden sun is gone,

0:35 wheels and is off upon a flight unknown,

0:38 so when

0:39 my light sinks to the sapphire hill,

0:43 shall I my sure flight wing unto mine own?
